Information & Policies

Reservation

Please make advance reservations via telephone or book online to assure room availability. A credit card is required to obtain a confirmed reservation. Please note the cancellation policy below before committing to a reservation. Rates may change without notice and may vary for special events except for confirmed reservation. All rates are subject to a 13% state/bed tax. The 7% state sales tax plus 6% bed tax is placed on all hotel rooms in Jackson County. To reserve the entire Inn a signed contract is required, please contact the Innkeeper.

Occupancy

Normal occupancy is two people per room. Each additional person (room size permitting) is $40 per night. Handicap - The Hinson House has one room, The Sleeping Porch, on the ground floor that is handicap accessible.

Check In

Normal check in time is 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. For late arrivals, please call for instructions on the procedure for arrival after 8:00 p.m. Check-out is at 11:00 a.m. Early check-in and check-out is available by prior arrangement only. Each is subject to an additional $25 per hour.

Deposit

Reservations made 14 or more days in advance will be charged a deposit equal to 50% of the reservation total. Reservations made less than 14 days in advance will be charged the full amount upon booking. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. For alternate arrangements, please contact the innkeeper. Group bookings of four or more rooms and full house rentals require a 30 day cancellation notice.

Dining

Complimentary breakfast is served at 8:30 am, unless other arrangements have been made. If you have dietary restrictions please contact the Innkeeper. Complimentary sodas, cookies, and wine/beer are available at any time. Help yourself!

Smoking

All inside locations are non-smoking. You may smoke on any of the porches where ashtrays are provided. Smoking in the rooms will result in an additional charge of $150 as it will be necessary to fumigate the room.

No Pets Allowed

There are no pets allowed with the exception of service animals. There is a pet fee on the reservation booking site.

Cancellation Policy

If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least 7 days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. In the event that you must cancel with less notice, shorten your stay, or check out early please understand that you must take responsibility for your entire reservation.
Cancellations and reschedules made with 7 or more days notice are subject to a full refund less a $35 re-booking fee.
*A 30 day cancellation notice is required on whole house/major holidays/special events. If unsure of the policy, contact the innkeeper for clarification.
